This is Living on the Altar

Living on the Altar is an online ministry that the Lord has placed in our hearts to reach others for Christ and encourage believers to live a life of sacrifice.  What we have seen throughout our own experience and the people around us is that sometimes we forget that believing in Jesus as our savior and joining the family of God has within it responsibilities and a calling to live as a living sacrifice. Before Jesus, the people of God had to sacrifice animals in order to cleanse themselves from sin and be in the presence of the Lord. But now, there is no need for dead sacrifices because Christ already paid our debt and served as the perfect once and for all sacrifice. Now, our salvation calls for a living sacrifice.

Romans 12:1-2 says, "I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

Our actions, thoughts, words, habits... everything we are is to be presented as a sacrifice to the Lord holy and pure. And this is where Living on the Altar is born. We want our lives to be a holy sacrifice to the Lord 24/7. Not just 2 days a week or just in front of some family members. We are called to live a life worthy of our calling and worthy of Christ's sacrifice. We pray that, in this platform, you will find resources that encourage you to live the life you are called to live.

So what are those resources you might ask...

We have a blog called Read. Pray. Live. where you can find devotionals on bible passages that have been influencing our walk with Christ. Also, in our YouTube channel and in our website you will find five-minute videos on reflections that will cover a smaller passage and bring some challenging questions. We also have a social media presence where we post reflective phrases connected with Bible verses as well as gospel-focused posts and testimonies. Finally, we have a digital print online shop where you can find worship and Scripture digital prints in different sizes for you to add some Scripture-filled decor in your home or office!

We want to invite you to join us on this new path, and you can do that by following us on social media, visiting our website, sharing the posts or devotionals that have edified you, and most importantly praying for us. We feel called to bring light through this online platform to a world that is full of darkness and lies, so please be praying we are able to serve the Lord courageously and truthfully!

We hope you join us as we seek the Lord everyday!
